Recently,
Ph.D. student Liu Hao from BEBC has published his first author review in Materials Science and Engineering: R: top
Reports (IF=24.652) entitled "Paper: A promising material for
human-friendly functional wearable electronics".
Based
on the rapid development of wearable devices and the urgent demand in the field
of medical treatment, rehabilitation, entertainment and so on, this review presents
a state-of-the-art introduction of paper-based electronics from multiple
perspectives. It summarizes developing trends of paper-based electronics in the
emerging wearable applications and shows in-depth analysis in many aspects from
the raw material selection, preparation process, to applications in recent years.
At the same time, it points out the future challenges of paper based flexible
electronics. This paper has important reference value in soft materials,
flexible electronics, wearable technology and other research fields.
As the
first paper of BEBC published in 2017, this work has been received and published
by Materials Science and Engineering: R:
Reports, one of the top journals in the field of material science (published
only 13 articles per year). In this regard, Hao said, “This paper is just a good
start for BEBC. It is the represent of BEBC’s advanced level of research. And
it’s the collaboration of the center. Thanks for the BEBC and the help of all
co-authors. We all witnessed that our BEBC has kept growing in the last year and
it will become stronger. I hope everyone will make progress in the new year and
keep breaking his/her own limits”.
The
work is under the guidance of Feng Xu and Professor Fei Li. The co-authors of
the paper include HuaiBin Qing, Zedong Li, Yulong Han, vice professor Min Lin,
Professor Hui Yang, Professor Ang Li and Professor Tianjian Lu.
