Recently,
Ph.D. student Lei Cao from BEBC has published his first author review in Biosensors and Bioelectronics entitled " Advances in digital polymerase chain
reaction (dPCR) and its emerging biomedical applications ".
This
review first discussed the principles of all key steps of dPCR, i.e., sample dispersion,
amplification, and quantification, covering commercialized apparatuses and
other devices still under lab development. Then, the author highlighted the
advantages and disadvantages of different technologies based on these steps, and
discussed the emerging biomedical applications of dPCR. Finally, they provide a
glimpse of the existing challenges and future perspectives for dPCR. This paper
has important reference value in PCR technology, point-of-care testing, precision
medical and other research fields.
