Penghui Zhang

  Dr. Penghui Zhang received his B.S. and M.S. in Chemical Engineering and Technology from Xi’an University of Architecture and Technology in 2008 and 2011. He got his Ph.D. in Analytical Chemistry in 2015 from Nanjing University. Since 2015, he joined in the School of Life Science & Technology of Xi’an Jiaotong University.

  Dr. Zhang has published 20 peer-reviewed articles in journals such as Angew. Chem. Int. Ed., ACS Nano, Chem. Commun., Anal. Chem., NPG Asia Material, etc.

His current research interest is focusing on the following topics: 1. fabricating smart nanocarriers with stimuli-responsive polymers for precise cancer treatment and diagnosis. 2. manipulating the surfaces of nanoparticles, hydrogels and biomaterial interfaces for drug delivery, cell capture, and material engineering. 3. designing multifunctional nanoprobes for in vitro and in vivo imaging, and point-of-care diagnosis.

Research Interests: drug delivery, cell imaging, smart polymer synthesis, cell microenvironment, point-of-care.
