Dan Bai
Dr. Dan Bai received BSc degree (2007) in Applied Chemistry from Xi’an Shiyou University and Troy University. In 2007-08 she worked at the Gene Therapy Research Centre, Beijing Ditan Hospital, followed by achieving an MSc degree (2008) in Drug Chemistry from Newcastle University. In 2009-2013 Dr. Bai completed her PhD degree then worked as a research fellow at the Molecular Photonics Laboratory, Newcastle University. In 2014 she was appointed lecturer at the Department of Biochemistry and Molecular Biology, School of Medicine, Xi’an Jiaotong University in 2014. In 2015-2017, Dr. Bai worked as a visiting researcher at the Department of Molecular Design and Engineering, Nagoya University. In 2017 Dr. Bai joined the BEBC.
Dr. Bai’s current research is focused on (i) Design and synthesis of aptamer based theranostic agents for point-of-care (POC) testing; (ii) Develop novel molecular probe for optical mapping of cellular microenvironment.
